Frequently Asked Questions

Is my dog an ADOGO Dog?

ADOGO welcomes all social-friendly dogs of at least 6 months of age and over 8 pounds in weight that have their Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies vaccinations and a negative Fecal exam within the past 12 months. We also require that all of our guests are spayed and neutered by the age of one year and we strongly recommend monthly tick and flea treatments.. We do require a Temperament Evaluation for first time guests to determine if they are a good fit for our social environment. This evaluation also gives your dog a chance to meet and get to know our team, facility and make friends prior to their boarding experience. The Temperament Evaluation is $22 and your dog can spend the day with us. If your dog is not comfortable or a good fit for our social environment, you will not be charged. Up to date vaccinations are required for the Temperament Evaluation. We do require that all of our ADOGO guests arrive on leash and wear a collar.

Will my dog like ADOGO?

We will do everything we can to make sure of it. With upscale facilities and a staff trained to provide the highest level of care possible, we will do everything we can to ensure your dog enjoys their stay with us. During daycare, we place dogs in playgroups with others of like temperament and size. We have indoor play areas with webcams and outdoor play areas with water fountains. Our state of the art overnight accommodations are quiet, clean and comfortable and ADOGO has a top of the line ADT monitored security system that includes temperature monitoring, sprinkler systems and fire alarms. It’s our commitment to you to keep your dog happy, secure and comfortable during his or her stay with us.

What do the dogs do all day?

Dogs require a healthy balance of activity and rest. With this in mind, ADOGO’s daily schedule ensures our guests are healthy and happy each day they spend with us. Daycare times will fluctuate based on several factors such as outside time, weather, number of dogs and other situations (at times dogs may go in to daycare earlier or later and end daycare earlier or later).

Can I take a tour?

Certainly! Tours are given daily between 12pm and 3pm. You’ll see first hand how we interact with our guests and how they socialize with each other.

What vaccinations are required?

Every ADOGO guest must have their Bordetella (yearly), Distemper and Rabies vaccinations in addition to a yearly negative Fecal exam. If any vaccinations have expired or administered for the first time, there is a 5 day waiting period before they can come play at ADOGO.

What do I need to make a reservation?

Like any hotel reservation, you’ll need to provide a credit card number along with current vaccination documentation, which should be submitted to ADOGO at least one week prior to check-in. For new guests, a Temperament Evaluation needs to be scheduled prior to booking your reservation.

How early do I need to make reservations for holidays?

We highly recommend that you make reservations three months in advance to reserve your dogs room. Remember, just like any hotel, ADOGO has its busy times – especially around holidays, spring break and summer months. We may require a non-refundable deposit to reserve overnight reservations for holidays and spring break time periods.

What is your cancellation policy?

To be fair, we ask that you contact us 72 hours prior to your dog’s reservation time. If your dog is not present at their reserved time or you are unable to notify us 72 hours in advance you will be charged for the first day of the reservation plus tax. There may be a deposit towards reservations during higher demand periods such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, etc. We typically have a two-week cancellation policy during major holidays including Spring Break (Mid-March through Mid-April).

What time should I drop off my dog for their hotel stay?

For your convenience, we accept check-ins and checkouts Mon – Fri: 7am – 7pm and Sat – Sun: 9am – 6pm. There is a $19 half-day daycare charge for checkouts beyond the check-in time. We’ve found that dogs who check-in early in the day enjoy a full day of fun with new friends.

Can I bring my dog’s food, bed and blanket?

Absolutely! We only feed your dog what you provide to us so please bring food and any treats. Feel free to bring any bedding, blankets, and favorite toys.

Can you provide my dog his/her medications?

Is there a charge? We are more than happy to administer your dog’s basic medication at no cost. We do not administer shots and any prescribed medication requiring a Veterinarian to administer will need to be done by your Vet. Please bring a supply of the medication along with the prescription bottle with the original veterinary directions for our staff.
